Culture, Belonging and Prevention Team (CBPT)
Addressing Discrimination, Harassment, Retaliation and Other Conduct of Concern
Welcome to the Culture, Belonging, and Prevention Team (CBPT), a multidisciplinary team committed to addressing discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and CSU’s "Other Conduct of Concern" through education, training, and policy initiatives.
Our team works collaboratively to identify, address, and prevent behaviors that negatively impact our campus climate, including bias, microaggressions, and identity-based harm. These behaviors, while sometimes falling outside formal policy violations, still contribute to an environment that can be hostile, exclusionary, or unsafe for students, faculty, and staff.
Through education, awareness programs, and policy recommendations, the CBPT aims to proactively prevent harmful behaviors and foster an inclusive, respectful, and equitable university community.
When to Contact CBPT
The CBPT focuses solely on prevention, education, and awareness and does not handle formal complaints, investigations, or disciplinary actions. If you need assistance with:
- Employee-related concerns, including workplace misconduct, please visit Human Resources (HR) or Faculty Affairs.
- Student conduct-related concerns, including behavioral misconduct or policy violations, please visit the Student Conduct web page.
Our Committment
At the CBPT, we believe that proactive education, awareness, and policy improvements are essential to fostering an inclusive and respectful university environment. More information about our team members, initiatives, and programs will be coming soon!
