Collaborative Teams Working to Promote Safety, Well-Being, and Support

Welcome to the Title IX and DHR Support Coordination Hub, a centralized space for multidisciplinary teams that collaborate with the Office of Compliance and Civil Rights to address campus safety, prevention, intervention, and support services. These teams work together to proactively address concerns, respond to incidents, and foster a culture of safety, accountability, and well-being across the university.

Title IX & DHR Support Coordination Hub - Our Teams

Threat Assessment Team (TAT)/Behavioral Intervention Team (BIT) 

Focus: Identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential threats to campus safety, including reviewing emergency removals, emergency leaves, and suspensions.

  • Evaluates threatening or escalating behaviors
  • Implements preventative and intervention strategies
  • Coordinates with campus safety officials to ensure risk management

Sexual Assault Response Team (SART)

Focus: Prevention, education, and coordination of response services related to sexual assault and misconduct.

  • Develops and leads educational programming on sexual violence prevention
  • Advises on best practices for survivor support
  • Strengthens policies and response protocols
  • Collaborates with campus and community-based organizations

Multidisciplinary Team (MDT)

Focus: Coordinating cross-departmental responses to Title IX, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation (DHR) cases while ensuring effective case management, policy compliance, and proactive prevention efforts.

  • Reconciles and reviews weekly campus incidents
  • Coordinates and manages responses to Title IX, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation (DHR) cases
  • Ensures compliance with university policies and legal requirements in case handling
  • Facilitates cross-departmental collaboration for effective case resolution

CARE Team (Campus Assessment, Response, and Engagement)

Focus: Providing case management, support services, and direct interventions for students, faculty, and staff facing academic, emotional, or personal challenges.

  • Assists individuals experiencing mental health, financial, academic, or social difficulties
  • Coordinates support services and referrals across campus departments
  • Provides case management for high-need cases
  • Fosters a culture of care and well-being

Culture, Belonging, and Prevention Team (CBPT)

Focus: Preventing discrimination, bias, and microaggressions through education, awareness, and systemic change initiatives.

  • Develops and leads trainings and workshops on discrimination and bias prevention
  • Reviews and recommends policy improvements to promote inclusion
  • Supports campus-wide initiatives that foster a culture of respect and equity
  • Educates on the CSU’s “Other Conduct of Concern” related to identity-based harm

Our Approach

Our various teams work collaboratively with the Office of Compliance and Civil Rights to ensure effective coordination and response by:

  • Identify risks and concerns before they escalate
  • Ensure survivors and impacted individuals receive appropriate support
  • Enhance campus-wide policies, safety initiatives, and response protocols
  • Promote education, safety, and prevention efforts
  • Provide wraparound services and case management for students, faculty, and staff
